How does a well-respected orchestra go about selecting a new maestro? Why not an election? Finalists were invited to guest conduct the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, and audience members were invited to vote by ballot and wear a button of the candidate they favored. The result was an extremely engaged audience base and an equally innovative season brochure that included audio clips and won rave reviews from The Philadelphia Inquirer.
